I worked extra hours during college to feed my addiction to resin statues, so I’ve definitely been a hardcore resin collector for basically my entire adult life. Even so, I still know the value of a good PVC statue, and can be tempted by the right character or design. The subject of today’s review is the latter, as it’s a $100 PVC statue I purchased of a character I’ve never actually seen in a game at all! My Wait List order for F4F Dark Souls Artorias SD EX finally came through—and he was indeed worth the ‘Wait’!

Continue Reading →As I allocate more and more of my display space to high-end figures and statues, I’ve substantially cut back on my number of impulse figure purchases at random stores. But while I was at Target yesterday, I stumbled upon the first wave of World of Nintendo 2019 figures and knew a few were destined for my home. The World of Nintendo Parabones and Piranha Plant are already selling for $20+ each on the aftermarket—are they worth the fuss?
Continue Reading →I stayed up late Thursday night writing my review of the classic First 4 Figures John Cena statue, and consequently ended up sleeping through the Friday Q&A. So now I’m up late again completing my documentation of this week’s F4F Q&A #102, where not only are Alex and Chocks joined by the mythical Michael Lai, but we also get the answers to revelatory questions such as:
WHAT would collectors think of Kirby PVCs and/or small dioramas like the Whispering Woods?
WHEN will the first resin My Hero Academia statue go up for order?
WHERE on the prospective pre-order schedule for the year are Dracula and Skull Knight?
HOW far along in development is that Dark Souls Artorias Life-Size Bust?
WHY isn’t Alex worried about the sales of Life-Size Busts and smaller busts cannibalizing each other? Chocks
WHO is eating white, creamy translucent stuff during the show?
WOULD anime fans like Fullmetal Alchemist PVC statues?
…And more!

So when I discovered a couple years back that one of the men I respect the most made a statue of another of the men I respect the most, I knew I had to have eventually have it. The First 4 Figures WWE statues aren’t exactly easy to come by, but after eluding me for ages, the F4F John Cena Statue finally came home as a surprise Christmas present…
Continue Reading →After the mega-ton announcements and launch of the Conker’s Bad Fur Day Definitive Edition statue in last week’s milestone F4F Q&A #100, you might think Alex and Chockles won’t have much to think about this week. But you would be wrong! This week, the Black Spyro PVC appears, the production Varia Suit Samus EX is in the house, and we get the answers to exhilarating questions such as:
WHO would likely be the second character in the Yakuza line if Kiryu sells well?
WHAT Sonic Adventure character would Alex want to make a diorama of if there’s ever a Sonic Adventure remake?
WHEN did Alex make first contact regarding the Yu-Gi-Oh and My Hero Academia licenses?
WHERE might we see the premiere of the first F4F My Hero Academia statue and the opening of pre-orders?
HOW does the final production Varia Suit Samus statue look?
WHY is F4F putting a new and stronger emphasis on busts?
COULD we see a Life-Size Sparx and/or color variants of Sparx?
WILL the Mini Aku Aku Mask have the “Ooga-Booga” sound built in?
…And more!
