Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Mega Man X Statue Review

Earlier today, I posted my review of the Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Collector’s Edition Iron Man & Captain Marvel statues and Infinity “Gems” box on Marvel Toy News, but that’s only half the battle (okay, more like three-fifths of it, but whatever). The other two statues in the Collector’s Edition set are two of Capcom’s biggest icons, and also the figures I was most looking forward to in the box set. Do the Mega Man X and Chun Li statues meet my expectations?

If someone held me at bow-and-arrow-point and demanded to know what my favorite collectibles company going today is, I wouldn’t have to think very much before replying “First 4 Figures”. First4Figures has been making high-end video game statues and collectibles for over a decade now, and the various resin Sega and Nintendo statues I have from them are among my absolute favorite toys that I own. But F4F is trying something new in 2017, as they jump into the PVC statue market with their 10″ Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Link statue. When Mattel announced their acquisition of the master license for Halo toys and figures last winter, I genuinely believed that a rejuvenation of Halo as a toy brand was impending. Things haven’t exactly worked out that way, with only two new figures released since last summer and zero in the pipeline. And unfortunately, not only is the Mattel Halo Fred 6″ figure expensive and hard to find (as he’s packed at just one per case alongside Kelly in the Wave 1 revision box), he’s also one of the worst quality figures I’ve purchased in years…
