If you’re an in-development First 4 Figures Statue and your name is “Aika”, you’ve had a pretty rough life. After being in the works for several years, you got put on the backburner for fear of potentially poor sales. Fans had to rally for you for over six months, but you finally acquired 500+ votes to be potentially saved in an official poll… only for less than a quarter of those voters to turn up when it came time to pick your pose. And thus, your future is in doubt once more. Luckily, there’s still a chance for Skies of Arcadia fans to mobilize and make their voices heard again…

While the first piece in the First4Figures Sega All-Stars Skies of Arcadia line—Vyse—sold out in numbers that were decent back in the day, there’s always been a fear that Aika (who isn’t the main character like Vyse) wouldn’t fare as well sales-wise.

As much as First4Figures would like to make every character fans request from every game, in the end F4F is a business and has to do what’s best for the health of the company. In other words, First 4 Figures can only make statues that it looks like there’s a large enough base of potential buyers for–and in Aika’s case, that’s a little bit murky.

Rather than just “Vaulting” the 3-D development work that had already been done on Aika, however, F4F CEO Alex Davis gave fans a chance to #SaveF4FAika with an official poll in the F4F OCC Facebook group. It took more than half a year and quite a bit of rallying, but the poll eventually reached the loose target of 500+ votes.

Feeling a bit more optimistic about the project, Alex Davis did some further development work on potential bases and accessories for Aika and posted a poll to see which the Aika fans would prefer… and almost no one showed up.

None of the options has reached even 125 votes as of writing, and most of the voters spread across the options are the same people. The apparent lack of interest has put Aika’s future in jeopardy once again, as the worry is that many of the 500+ who voted for Aika over a period of months have left or lost interest.

Still want what would almost beyond a doubt be the only high-end collectible for Aika that will ever be made, Skies fans…? You can still show your support and make F4F Aika a reality! Here’s how:

1. If you’re not already in the First 4 Figures Official Collectors Club Facebook group, you’ll have to join the group at least temporarily in order to vote (tell ‘em “Gamer Toy News sent me” in the entry questions!). You don’t have to stay in the group, as any vote or comment that you make will still exist even if you do decide to leave (although it’s a pretty rockin’ group and you should definitely hang around).

2. Hop over to Alex Davis’ post from April 18th 2018 and vote for any of the base and accessory choices there that catch your fancy. If there’s multiples you’d be interested in, vote away! And be sure to leave a comment to keep that post bumped and to show just how interested you are in this project.  The more people who vote and comment on that poll, the more evidence there is that there’s a legitimate market for Aika to be produced for.

3. There is no #3! Want Aika…? Vote! Leave a comment! Make your voice heard!

Aika has had a tough life, but she can still have a happy ending and make hundreds of Skies of Arcadia fans around the world happy. Show your support, and feel free to spread the link to this article to any Skies of Arcadia fans you know who would want to make Vyse’s best friend a reality in resin statue form!
